Chris Hemsworth trolls The Rock with a gym video on Instagram

Avengers: Infinity War won’t stop shattering records, nearly three weeks after its release, so Chris Hemsworth decided to send a message to fans.

He did so on Instagram while thanking folks “for supporting this little community theatre production,” but more importantly, he did so while mocking the heck out of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s habit of marking any occasion with a gym video.

Avengers now the highest grossing super hero movie of all time , I’ll say again thank you thank you thank you everyone for supporting this little community theatre production 😘🙏💪🤙😁⚡️✌️@marvel @avengers @therock

The God of Thunder has gently trolled The Rock by imitating him in a cheeky Instagram video, thanking China and the world for their ongoing support of the juggernaut that is The Avengers.

“Just taking a leaf out of The Rock’s book, every time he does a post he’s in the gym, so I’m just gonna do a couple of curls while we’re chatting,” says Hemsworth while reaching for a dumbbell.

In response, The Rock’s taking things in stride, unlike his reaction to every grunt from Vin Diesel. And as far as Johnson is not interested in engaging in a war with The Avengers, he tweeted congrats to Hemsworth while also suggesting that he “be naked from the waist down” next time around.

“First of all, of you’re truly going to take a page outta my book when shooting gym videos, then you’d be naked from the waist down. Never mind.”

Hopefully such social media battles between Hollywood’s two biggest heavyweights are more than enough to keep us entertained.

“A HUGE congrats to you brotha. You just made history! Very proud and happy for you and the team!” The Rock ended.
