Instagram foodie-baby page you should follow

Today Instagram is overloaded with same type accounts. The lion part of the social network is occupied by Instagram foodies. That’s the reason why day-by-day it is more and more difficult to impress the average user.

However, the father of two Mike Chau seems to have found the way of how to amuse you and his other 275 thousand followers.

Born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, Mike Chau attended Boston University for college, where he graduated with a bachelors and masters degree in Computer Science. He has worked full time as a computer programmer.

Chau met his wife Alexandra in high school at Townsend Harris, in Flushing, Queens. In her turn, she gave birth to his two great children.

His son Matthew and daughter Samantha are the faces of Food Baby NY. He began uploading pictures of his children alongside popular New York City food fads in 2014.

Then he has managed to effortlessly combine his love of food and family into one of cutest IG accounts in the game.

The Instagram star known for running the FoodbabyNY Instagram account also has almost 90,000 followers on his personal account where he posts his favorite foods and photos of his family.

“As a kid, I always loved food, but I was very overweight and was eating a lot of fast food and junk food. I went on the Atkins Diet right when it came out when I was in 7th grade and lost a ton of weight really quickly. After that, I always tried to watch what I ate and didn’t eat out much until my wife Alexandra, and I moved into a condo in the Financial District after working for a few years after graduating college and seeing all of the great restaurants around us in NYC,” FHM quotes Mike.

The question you might holding now in mind is when and how the idea of snapping kids has appeared. Fortunately, Chau had what to answer: “I was one of those people that was always taking pictures of my food, and then I became one of those people always taking pictures of my baby, so I thought it was more interesting to combine the two and kill two birds with one stone. My son Matty, who is four now, starts to see that people recognize us on the street more and more frequently and seems to have some concept of it, but he doesn’t quite understand yet just how popular him and his little sister Sammy are!”

However, it’s logically that someday kids will grow up. In this case, Mike has no idea what to do, and how to deal with it.

“I never expected anything to come from it or for anybody to really follow it; I just started it as a more fun way of chronicling our eating adventures. We always joke that maybe one of them will hate food and want nothing to do with it ever again, and one of them will love all of this exposure to food and have a similar passion and want to do something related to the field.”
