Professional MMA fighter and UFC champion from Ireland Conor McGregor and his partner Dee Devlin became parents this Finday’s night. 28-year-old McGregor announced that they are expecting a baby during his fight with Alvarez in November. McGregor has also won the UFC title there in New York.

Fans are concerned that paternity leave may affect McGregor’s capability to defend his title. He hasn’t paid much of attention to training lately and left fighting for almost half a year as he focused on his family. McGregor doesn’t seem to care much about it now as he became a father of a boy. The boy is 8 pounds and 14 ounces. Everyone is healthy and happy.

“We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy,” Conor’s dad, Tom McGregor told the Irish Mirror.
